/ Our Story
We didn’t start with a business plan. We started with a promise.
My father was a regional bank manager in Colombia. Then violence forced our family to flee. We landed in the United States with zero English, zero guarantees, and each other.
My father became a janitor, a cook, and a construction worker. My mother, who had never worked outside our home, cleaned planes, babysat, and scrubbed floors. Two people rebuilding their lives from scratch in a country that didn’t know their names.
They did it anyway. Because my sister and I were watching.
Durafy is what I am helping build beside my parents to keep their legacy. My father’s relentless willpower to rebuild himself twice, on two countries. My mother’s extraordinary attention to detail makes everyone around her feel like they matter. Those two things live in everything we do.
We pour concrete and lay asphalt. But what we’re really building is what comes next.
